I am so grateful for being able to experience so many different cultures in the world. So, it brings me so much joy showing my kids new places, too.
My husband and I are both from Japan, but I was raised in New Jersey. We moved to the Jacksonville, Florida area just a few years ago. Although we miss the Jersey pizza and delis, we love the weather and the friendly people here.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking and gardening. My mug and plant collection are always in order because I also love organizing. Black coffee and green tea are my drinks of choice.
I know firsthand all of the things that go into running your own business - meetings, marketing, finances, and client work. You’re busy (I know, I know, that’s an understatement!)
But I want the absolute best for you. I want your business to grow and thrive and be everything you ever dreamed of. That’s why I’m committed to making sure your experience with me is easy and well worth the investment. I truly care about your business and the value the photos we create together will bring to your brand. The time and energy I put into each of my clients really shows, all while having fun along the way, promise!
Rooting for you always,
I realized that what I really connected with was the moms, the women trying to do it all- juggling family life, marriage life, and growing a business. I wanted to be able to not only capture that ambition, but celebrate every woman and her mark on the world.
River Eight & CO is named for my family and my Japanese heritage. The Kawa in my last name Kawada, means river in Japanese. My oldest son’s nickname is Hachi, which means eight in Japanese. The number 8 represents growing prosperous because of the way the letter (八)broadens. And because I’m a momma of 4, of course I had to add “and Co.” at the end.
